Shannen has gained extensive litigation experience from other Private Practices and in-house Legal Department dealing with a wide range of cases. Shannen enjoys the thrill and the process of finding the missing piece of the puzzle and relishes the satisfaction of finding solutions for the problems of her clients.

Shannen says "I am tenacious in achieving the best possible outcome for my clients but I am also not afraid to advise my clients on what they shouldn’t do and shouldn’t be doing so that they are not wasting their time and money unnecessarily."

Outside of work, Shannen enjoys learning foreign languages, travelling, baking and playing piano and guitar (albeit at an amateur level!).

Shannen qualified as a solicitor in 2009 after studying Law at Cardiff University and the University of the West of England.

Shannen specialises in a wide range of civil dispute matters and has over 15 years’ experience of dealing with all aspects of private and commercial litigation. Shannen acts for individuals and businesses, and in the past has also acted for Insurers and Local Authorities. She is highly skilled in formulating offensive and defensive litigation strategies but also adopts a proactive and tenacious approach when conducting litigation which often results in early resolutions for her clients.

Prior to joining Stephen Rimmer, Shannen worked for a Legal 500 law firm and has gained invaluable experience dealing with complex and high value cases.

Shannen has also worked for a leading national law firm specialising in personal injury where she handled casualty claims of various complexities and had consistently brought her injured clients back on their feet, physically and financially.

Prior to her role as a Personal Injury Solicitor, Shannen worked as a Defence Litigation Solicitor for an Insurance Litigation Practice where she defended casualty claims on behalf of major insurers and also advised on insurance indemnity issues. Shannen later joined the Counter Fraud Team defending suspected fraudulent claims, where she developed a keen eye for details and a reputation for leaving no stone unturned.
