If you intend to sell alcohol or provide ‘licensable activities’ from a particular venue you will be required to make an application for a license.
Licensable activities include:

You’ll also need a licence if you provide the following types of entertainment:

You still need a licence even if the activities are for charity.
We will charge a fixed fee of £840 including VAT for dealing with your application. This fee includes obtaining and providing the relevant forms, assisting with pre-application queries, preparing and receiving the Letter of Authority, collating documentation (which will be requested from you) required for application and the preparation bundle. You should note that as part of the application, you are likely to have to obtain a suitable plan of the premises, and you may also need to pay for other documents to support the application.
We will review the application bundle to ensure that replies and documentation required have been obtained and then submit individual copies to the relevant authorities (this number will depend on where the premises is).
In addition to our fixed fee there will also be disbursements to pay such as the application fee payable to the local authority and a fee payable to an third party for drawing up the plan(s) (if you do not have suitable plan(s) available already).
