Areas of practice

Nicola is experienced in all aspects of family law and has developed a particular expertise in dealing with financial matters on divorce and separation. Nicola is passionate about the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and encourages clients to resolve matters, wherever possible, without court proceedings. However, where this is not possible, Nicola is experienced in all aspects of the court process and is able to advise and represent her clients through the court process.

Experience and background

Nicola joined Stephen Rimmer LLP in August 2026, having spent the previous six years working as a family paralegal at another law firm in Eastbourne. Nicola graduated The Open University with an Upper-Second Class LLB in July 2020. She has since gone on to complete both stages of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), qualifying as a solicitor in May 2026.

Nicola is registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Outside the office

Outside of work, Nicola is a keen aviation enthusiast. Fun fact: Nicola learnt to fly a glider aircraft before she had even passed her driving test. She also enjoys spending time with her young family and is part of a local women’s recreational football team.
