Alison Horscroft

Alison Horscroft is a Private Client Executive in our Private Client Department. Alison provides support to all the solicitors in the department, helping to look after the affairs of the elderly and assisting with administering the estates of those who have passed away, whether with or without a Will.

Alison supports our probate solicitors with managing their cases from start to finish, dealing with all aspects of Probate and Estate Administration, including obtaining valuations of assets, corresponding with financial institutions and applying for the Grant of Representation.

Once the Grant has been obtained, Alison organises the gathering of all the estate assets and pays out in accordance with the terms of the Will or intestacy rules (as applicable).

Alison is very approachable and enjoys getting to know her clients. She strives to avoid the use of legal jargon and understands that often people are distressed following a recent bereavement and will make every effort to ensure that the legal process is as straightforward as possible for them.

Career

Following a career in the banking sector, Alison moved into legal work and has been a key member of the Private Client team here at Stephen Rimmer since 1999.

Outside of work, Alison has a keen interest in helping her daughter to look after her horses and accompanying them to various events.
