Stephen Rimmer LLP marked its 45th anniversary with a celebratory evening bringing together colleagues, clients, and friends of the firm - past and present - to reflect on its journey and look ahead to the future.
The evening was not just about the 45 year milestone itself, but what it represents. Founded in 1981 by Stephen Rimmer, the firm was built on a simple but enduring philosophy: treat clients properly, communicate clearly, and deliver high-quality work. More than four decades on, those principles remain at the heart of the business.
Grant reflected on the importance of people in sustaining that legacy. “Businesses don’t last 45 years by accident. They last because of the people in them,” he noted, acknowledging the collective contribution of staff, clients, and the wider community.
A special moment of the evening was dedicated to Leta Kerin, whose guidance and commitment have played a significant role in shaping the firm over the years.
The firm’s growth has been steady and organic, driven largely by client recommendation and trust - qualities that cannot be manufactured. This foundation has enabled Stephen Rimmer LLP to expand while maintaining its strong local roots and reputation for personal service.
The evening also provided an opportunity to warmly welcome colleagues who have recently joined the firm from Donaldson Dunstall, further strengthening the team and its presence across East Sussex.
