Wendy Still is a Consultant, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and Head of our Family Law Department. She specialises in Private Children Law and Public Children Law and is an accredited Family Law specialist with Resolution as well as a Resolution trained mediator.
Having been at Stephen Rimmer for over 10 years, Wendy is highly respected for her work in Eastbourne, Hastings and throughout East Sussex. Wendy is an experienced court advocate and is equally able to represent you in Court or work with specialist barristers.
Her particular interest lies in the importance of Child Protection and acting for parents prior to and during care proceedings issued by the Local Authority.
Wendy understands how distressing social services involvement can be, and her objective is to help you resolve matters positively wherever possible and ensure families have the support they need to care for children whilst always treating the safety and welfare of the child as her priority.
Wendy has a great deal of experience in representing parents of children who are facing care proceedings or legal meetings with the Local Authority. She is known for giving honest advice and working hard can for parents and children.
Wendy says: “I absolutely love the work I do. It’s a very interesting area of law, requiring real commitment and hard work. It can be very rewarding when we make a difference for families and children under often highly challenging circumstances.”
Away from work, Wendy has also been a lecturer for all aspects of law, having helped many students to complete their qualifications. She takes pride in knowing that she can make a difference in students’ lives by stimulating their minds and providing them with new ideas, a fresh outlook and the tools to lead them into a career in law.
Wendy is a highly experienced and dedicated family law specialist who has been with Stephen Rimmer for over 10 years, having joined the firm in 2011.
Prior to joining Stephen Rimmer, Wendy worked in various firms, primarily dealing with all family matters, as well as a stint working for the Local Authority in the area of Child Protection.
