Redundancy after furlough

  • Posted on

Whilst the Government's furlough scheme has been put in place to try to save jobs the unfortunate reality is that there will be redundancies at the end of the scheme or even before.

If you are affected by redundancy, Steven Judge in our employment team will be pleased to help.

In the first instance it is important that you are aware of your entitlement as follows:

  • Notice pay:

  • Statutory Redundancy pay:

  • Possibly an entitlement to collective redundancy consultation:

  • Possibly an entitlement to unfair dismissal compensation:

Settlement agreements

Previously known as compromise agreements, Settlement Agreements are put in place by employers to help you to agree your exit and/or resolve a dispute amicably and on terms, which are beneficial to you.

It is a legal requirement that you take independent legal advice on the terms and effects of the settlement agreement before signing it. We will ensure that the costs of that advice will be paid by your employer.
